The Glitch Mob – Can’t Kill Us from the glitch mob on Vimeo.
Glitch Mob (three piece electronic group) is the type of music that makes you tap your feet, then slowly nodding your head to the beat, then when the song nears the minute mark it’s all over! Some might recognize their work from the famous GoPro commercials which used the tracks “We Can Make The World Stop” and "Drive It Like You Stole It". I’m not exactly sure what their genre is, but it’s what I can listen to repeatedly in the morning to get going, as a powersong when pushing for that personal best, or at the gym without feeling like such a meathead. This is a small taste of their upcoming album, and perfectly timed! I am so excited to see these guys at COACHELLA. Watch the trippy video up top.

Here’s a video from Justin Vernon’s (Bon Iver) side project Volcano Choir, to relax your Monday nerves. It’s a great track for the rainy days ahead, starts of slow and builds up into a powerful emotionally charged song.

Having second thoughts about carbon bike frame strength? Check out this video and see how much abuse a good frame can withstand! An amazing display of handling skills, and major cojones!
The song in the video is the anthemic “Sometimes” by Sound of Guns which is a pretty good contrast to the more unorthodox riding style of Martyn Ashton.
Get out and ride!

For the very first time ever, Bloc Party is coming to Manila to perform live! I’m beyond excited for this show. If you’re not familiar with their music, I suggest you click the videos above!
They’ve had a string of hits throughout the years including Banquet, Hunting for Witches, I Still Remember, This Modern Love, Helicopter, The Prayer, Flux, and So Here We Are. Following the success of numerous studio albums, singles, and remixes they are back with a new album entitled “Four” produced by Alex Newport.
I’m looking forward to hearing them live for the first time, and I’m liking the new stuff off of the recent release (particularly Truth and Octopus) I’m expecting to see a lot of long time fans and some new ones at the show to be awed and inspired to see one of the UK’s greatest bands perform here.
Bloc Party Live in Manila on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the World Trade Center, Hall D, Pasay City.

Dublin based folk-rockers Little Green Cars, sound a bit like Arcade Fire with their uncomplicated riffs and vocals that bring to mind the current wave of bearded musicians, but the infectiousness of their tracks speak for themselves.
They are yet to release a debut album, but already they’re getting a lot of attention and are also booked for the Coachella Music Festival this April. Their album Absolute Zero was produced by Markus Dravs (Mumford and Sons, Coldplay-just putting it out there) Give this track a listen and let me know what you think via twitter @victorbasa

Last month, through the pooled efforts of Karylle, Zsa Zsa, Iza Calzado, Divine Lee, Yael Yuzon, the Philippine All Stars, and numerous Childhaus volunteers we managed to gather a sizeable number of people to initiate a flashmob right in the middle of Bonifacio High Street. TDK of course played a huge part, considering they provided the soundsystem needed to turn the place into a veritable frenzy of people dancing to the horse-galloping style craze. The Childhaus kids really loved it, and were eager to show their mettle on the impromptu dance floor. Crowd also went wild when the Philippine All Stars busted out their award winning moves and revealed Sam Concepcion with his stylised version of the billion viewed hit’s dance.
Hopefully with this video we can show that even if these kids battling with cancer they can still manage to take it day by day, appreciating moments like these and keep positive outlooks despite their situations. I mean, look how at how wide their smiles were on the video! I also wish that this video will bring more supporters and sponsors for Childhaus, that way we can keep having more activities and help uplift the little angels’ lives.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
Thank you to: Ben Dayrit who choreographed well over 650 students! Roden Araneta and dance crew for making the whole rehearsal fun! Wyanet and Adrian of Mary Grace, Time Zone, the fine people over at TDK, Fridays group, Lorenzo’s way and many more!

The Shout Out Louds are announcing the release of their new album very uniquely to select friends, fans and press alike. In line with the Wintery season, they’ve decided to really go with the theme with a sort of transient, temporary art sculpture which you make yourself. Check out this video to hear your very first ice record, and [click here] if you want to hear their track in a more conventional format.
