Your Top Blogs | Nuffnang Country Manager’s Dinner

I31B0057Ritz, ang blurry ng photo mo! Haha, black and white nga lang. The one right next to me is Abe, Country Manager for Nuffnang Philippines! Usually in Geekynights he’s the tech guru and Mr. Yugatech, or plain ol’ Abe but that night he was hotshot bigwig mode haha!

Nuffnang is the world’s leading blog advertising community which connects brands with bloggers, as well as strengthens ties and relationships between other bloggers as well. It’s like a big summer camp with lots of talented folk, wherein everyone has their own expertise or speciality. You have style and fashion bloggers, tech bloggers, food bloggers, fitness bloggers, et cetera. It’s a great mix of interesting characters! Interaction is usually more online than offline (irl) so it was great to hang out and share ideas and of course eat, drink and be merry at the Nuffnang Country Manager’s Dinner which happened at Vyne at Bonifacio Global City.

Other awards were given that night as well as King of Projects, as well as top hits! But more importantly, we had a name that tune game which I was sure I’d win.

LIVE FOR NOW! | Original Penguin x Pepsi

 photo pp-1161_zpsbbe3f88e.jpg

The launch of the Original Penguin x Pepsi LIVE FOR NOW Capsule collection was an exciting and suitably timed event, especially considering the World Cup Fever taking over many countries recently. (Brazil literally sounds like a warzone everytime their team scores a goal) The limited edition collection featured cutting-edge international artists with their designs linking the passion of football and art into the pieces. The attendees featured a mix of celebrities, athletes, bloggers, and media personalities.

I was in very good company of course, Maggie Wilson-Consunji, Kelly Misa and Maxene Magalona (all wearing Original Penguin)

Foosball! I may have been a bit competitive that day. No spinning!

V SPOTTED | SCANDINAVIAN STEEZE

 photo bdp-1000897_zps8f3b196f.jpg

I’ve grown fond of double monkstrap dress shoes, tailored trousers, and unstructured jackets over the years. Still, I find the relaxed and unassuming style donning black and white with a Stockholm sensibility impressive. Also, the choice of a DIY cut sleeve tee makes the outfit appropriate for our weather. Thanks Mikyle!

I’m watching you too.

Casually Sunny | Rushing To Lunch

photo I31B6960_zps298dfdcc.jpg

After a night of merrymaking, I completely forgot I reserved for lunch at Balesin’s “Fish Fun” (it’s a seafood restaurant on stilts where kids/kids at heart can also try their fisherman skills and have their catch prepared as their meal) So I haphazardly put these clothes on and was off to make it to my reservation, and shot a few of these photos while on the way!

The 9Five shades go well with the shirt, right, right? I also donned the shorts so I could easily pop into the pool when the temperature rises.

I like how it isn’t screaming a logo, which is great at the beach which is supposed to be time to relax.

Sunsoaked | January Jonesing For The Beach

photo sunsoaked_zps9d3fef34.jpgAfter spending a chilly early December in New York, I was so excited to be back and definitely ready to enjoy the tropical weather again. No more thermals, no more scarves! Here’s what I wore during on one of the days of my island excursion!photo I31B6752_zps03a12c4f.jpg

I like wearing long sleeved shirts at the beach because 1) I don’t like wearing sunscreen because it feels greasy 2) I never liked wearing sandos to lunch and 3) it lets me keep my cool better than when wearing the aforementioned (even a tee so long as the right fabric and color is chosen). Paired with beachscape shorts so I don’t look like such a square!

photo I31B6768_zps8e6d9f55.jpgI really like this shirt from Guess, it’s got screenprinted stripes done on very breathable material. Perfect for the sunny weather!

Back In Black | Monotone Movement

photo silver-skull-place-card-holder-1_zpsd2f1a70a.jpg

Summer’s definitely over but if you’re like me then you’re still wearing pastels and bright colors even well into the nighttime. Hopeless, or so I thought. Definitely going back to my roots, I chose to select pieces of a more understated nature. I went to Guess the other day and found a bunch of black clothes ready to look like a murder of crows. Back in Black most definitely but still retaining a sunny disposition. See the pictures below.

My Husband’s Lover | SUPREME Shoot BehindTheScenes

photo COVER_zps8adfd09f.jpg

I’ve been a little quiet lately on this blog, pretty much due to the fact I’ve been running around which is a really good thing in my opinion. In addition to Appetite Wars, I’m currently taping episodes of GMA 7’s new hit show “My Husband’s Lover” directed by Dominic Zapanta and written by Suzette Doctolero (Encantadia, Amaya, Indio) I play one of the antagonists vying for affection while caught up in a web of complicated circumstances.

It’s a great show and I urge all of you to watch it, it’s on weekdays 9:30PM on GMA7. Here’s a behind the scenes from the pictorial Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez and I had the other week for Philippine Star’s SUPREME.

I’m really happy with this project, flexing acting muscles and whatnot. The cast and crew is really supportive as well, which really takes a bit of the weight off one’s shoulders given how demanding the roles can be. I’m also thankful to everyone as to how positive the response has been for such a daring show. Thank you all and I hope you continue to follow the lives of Lally, Vincent, Eric, David, Vicky, Elaine, Armando and the struggles and great loves they will experience and live out.
