Morrissey is having a concert in Manila! 13th of May 2012, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City!
He will be playing his greatest hits, as well as favorites from the Smiths. Much to the joy of many who grew up loving the sullen singer’s albums. I expect a good turnout of long time fans, casual listeners, and newly minted appreciators.
No way am I going to miss this. I hope to see you guys there.

I had lunch at 2nd’s Restaurant at Bonifacio High street today. I was in the area and the heat outside was tremendous, certainly signs of summer definitely coming in so what better way to ____ two birds with one stone. 2nd’s is a great place, nice proper restaurant with a San Francisco cafe feel. Easy going, and casual enough but you know they’re not messing around once you see their menu. People come here to EAT. Just don’t calorie count to avoid ruining your dining experience ie: bacon chicharon.
Ranked first to last. I usually win at ordering food.
I had this.
Angus Bistek Tagalog
I couldn’t find the description so here goes, angus bistek tagalog with crispy onion things and some delightfully flavored rice.
Summer Grilled Pork Chop
Divine had this, marinated in pineapple and soy, grilled and served with coriander garlic rice and wild arugula salad
Beef Rib Adobo
Florence ordered this, slow braised beef ribs adobo with garlic. Served with steamed rice and green mango tomato salsa
We were all every happy with our orders, offers of sharing halfheartedly and grumbled under our breaths. Everything is definitely sinful and will easily fill you up even without ordering starters. I didn’t even have room for dessert.
For those of you who are fasting, 2nd’s just lent us (pun intended) a big hand for the season.
everybody was there, and really chill vibe from the audience.
a good show of hands and great music from toro y moi and the bands who opened up for them.
diego is local legend
moment of shock that toro y moi is actually performing in manila.
may i just say that hard rock cafe is the most comfortable place to watch a gig or show or whatever, you almost feel guilty that you’re watching these artists in such a luxe venue but it helps you focus on what’s really important. music.
