Why was I unaware that Rico Blanco had a blog?! (lagunaboy.com) And a really good one at that!  His photographs are very inspiring, especially the intimate shots of other amazing artists he has rubbed elbows with.  It also gives a glimpse into his more private practice space sessions.  Nice to imagine how these different static scenes inspire him musically.

Thanks @pitradactyl for the heads up!

Check out Nina Sandejas’ site also for more music/concert photography (I also just found out that she works closely with Mr. Blanco! I really have to get out more)

I have many fond memories in JB Music (starting maybe since I was a college freshman in DLSU at the time and I’d mustered up as much allowance money as I could)  As well as having future eureka moments when I was positive that a certain musical instrument (a red Hofner guitar) or accessory (guitar effects) would increase my musical abilities and transform me into a Randy Randall (NO AGE), Bo Diddley or even a Johnny Cash!
It turned out it didn’t, but what I was playing sure sounded better afterwards!

Staff is pretty friendly too, they’re more than happy to talk tech about your specific needs (or what you think you need for many of your sonic aspirations)

Fashion and music movers are humming the same song by: Victor Basa (The Philippine Star) Updated October 21, 2011 12:00 AM  MANILA, Philippines – It’s an affair that’s lasted through the ages.  The current relationship of fashion and music is stronger than ever, just like those real life on-screen love teams but without the tabloids or shocking news reports about breakups and third parties. It’s an interdependent relationship, and it is mutual admiration at its most unmistakable. Together, they can create imagery that shapes movements and kickstarts trends that can transcend into classics.  Take, for instance, the decade-long resurgence of slim-cut suits, nobody else could …

go anywhere

in cords and a light jacket. I’m usually in raw denim, an oxford shirt rolled up at the sleeves and various ensembles that wouldn’t disturb the sensibilities of the local maitre d’.  Still, I often find myself getting bored of wearing a uniform day-in day-you get the idea.  So I decided to mix it up a little bit with a fabric I’ve never really worn (corduroy)  Just a few pieces that can easily blend into your current wardrobe and retain your personal style.  So simple, and elementary.  The collared shirt and jacket combo can be traced back to the 17th …

Kanye West does Womenswear

the pieces seem very sportswear with a luxurious flair of sorts.  read yeezy was so opinionated and well-versed that it was hard to decide on designs. still, through careful planning and close supervision i believe his vision was executed flawlessly.   would not mind seeing this in real life. collection struck me as if the person wearing his designs would like to convey the image of power, preeminence and a lack of subtlety. very sexy if i must say so myself.
